C-File collects only what is necessary to build your VA claim package: your name, email address, military service history (branch, MOS/rate, dates), and the medical and service information you voluntarily provide during claim sessions.
We do not collect your Social Security Number. We do not collect GPS or location data. We strip EXIF metadata from any photos you upload.
Your data is used solely to generate your claim documentation and to maintain your account. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law or to operate the service (e.g., email delivery, secure cloud storage).
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Document storage uses AES-256 encryption. We follow OWASP security standards and conduct regular security reviews.
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@cfile.vet.
